The Spa Sanatorium Akademik Běhounek built in 1975 has been designed for rendering complete spa services. The building with 6 stories above ground and 3 underground is an eye-catching dominant towering above the valley of Jáchymov. There is a breathtaking view of the Ore Mountains panorama from all its terraces and balconies. A specialty of this sanatorium is the „divanery“ for the Arabic clientele.

Accommodation: The sanatorium disposes of the accommodation capacity of 243 beds in two categories. I.A class: 116 double-beds and single-beds, from which 6 are barrier-free. I.A Plus class: 10 single beds and 29 double beds. In the offer there also are 4 comfortable apartments. One apartment has a kitchen with cooking equipment. In every room there are balcony, bathroom with a shower or bathtub, WC, satellite TV, fridge and phone. The rooms of I.A class plus are also equipped with a build-in safe, hair-drier and a bath robe.

Therapy: There is a non-stop in-house medical service. The complete medical services and therapeutic procedures are rendered even to patients with severe afflictions.

Meals: Breakfasts, lunches and dinners are served in two spacious dining rooms.

Services: Our clients can use the parking lot with surveillance, non-stop reception desk service with safe-box, currency exchange point, swimming pool, library, hair-dresser, beauty parlour, chiropodist, and after a medical consultation even a well equipped fitness centre and sauna.

Leisure Time Activities: At service to guests there is a café and a lobby bar with rich selection of refreshments, large community hall, lounges, table-tennis gym, billiard room and telephone booths. Entertainment programme, dance evenings and concerts take place in the community hall. For catching the sun in summer months there is a spacious sundeck on the roof with a great panoramic view, equipped with shower and lounge chairs.
