Konstantinovy Lázně is situated north-west of Pilsen 510 m above sea level. It is one of the least polluted places in the Czech Republic. The local mineral springs have the highest content of CO2 in the country. The tranquil, family-orientated atmosphere, numerous idyllic, comfortable spa houses, wonderful little pavilions housing the springs shaded by tall trees and statues dotted around the park all enhance the peaceful, restorative nature of the place. The local restaurants and cafes serve the local herb liqueur Konstantin, enjoyed by the famous Czech painter Max Švabinský during his stay in the town.
The spa focuses on the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of patients suffering from cardiovascular disease. Other ailments treated here are musculoskeletal problems, diabetes and respiratory complaints.
